Wassup people!

Last week I came across a pretty interesting article on the story of Saint Georges. He grew up to be the first black man to lead France's most important orchestras.

Saint Georges

Known to be the Black Mozart, his composition actually inspired Mozart and Beethoven. Also Saint Georges went on to be France's finest fencer and a General who led a 1000 black soldiers during the french revolution.

This is a piece of history that many of us I believe never knew. Specially in classical music, a lot of stereotypes are still present, nevertheless, the voice of minorities is slowly starting to make noise. Like they would say in the X-Files : The truth is out-there! And it is man! We just have to go out and get it.

Check out this link to listen to Saint Georges symphony and learn about his life.
